TRANS-NATIONAL INDIGENOUS DISPLACEMENT
Special Issue: July 2025
The Journal of Internal Displacement is calling for papers to be published as a Special Issue in its July 2025 volume. Papers must be submitted no later than 13 April 2025.
Topics could include (but are not limited to):
- Displacement due to colonialism and imperialism
- Cross border externalisation and migration management
- Convention refugees versus Indigenous displacement
- Critique and resistance of international indigeneity
- Law and policy on migration, displacement, and asylum
- Climate change, environment, emergency response, and disaster management
- Challenge, opportunity, implementation with intervention programs
- Impact, influence and outcome
- Advocacy and solidarity work
- Storytelling and lived experience
- Definitional, theoretical and conceptual framework analysis
- Data and statistical analysis (empirical studies)
- Research and methodological design
About the Journal: The Journal of Internal Displacement (JID) is the only scholarly and interdisciplinary platform for raising the profile of displaced populations through discussions, critical dialogue, emerging themes, reflections and explorations on a wide range of topics and geographical regions. The JID promotes free and open access. The JID charges no publication fees to authors.
Submission Guidelines:
- All manuscript must be submitted on JID Website online.
- All manuscripts must conform to JID Author’s Guidelines
- All Manuscripts must be between 15-30 pages (i.e., ~7,500 – 15,000) words.
- Deadline for submission is 13 April 2025.
